Our Veterinarians

Dr.Stone

Sharon Stone, DVM

Founder & Veterinarian

Dr. Sharon Stone has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1991 and opened St. Francis Veterinary Clinic in 1996 after proudly serving 4.5 years in the U.S. Army. With a special passion for feline medicine and dentistry, she has built a clinic grounded in compassion, education, and a love for animals.

She earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of Central Arkansas and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. Dr. Stone stays actively involved in the profession through her memberships in the American Veterinary Medical Association, Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Beyond the clinic, she’s deeply involved in the Conway community, contributing to the Chamber of Commerce and the Faulkner County Leadership Institute.

At home, Dr. Stone enjoys time with her husband, Steve, and their growing family: son Simon and his wife Christie, grandson Christopher, and sons Sidney and Seth. She shares her home with three cats and one dog — and when she’s not caring for pets at work, she finds joy and relaxation in her garden.

Dr.Custer

Ashley Custer, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Ashley Custer has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2016, but her journey with St. Francis Veterinary Clinic began even earlier — as one of Dr. Stone’s assistants. Her time here left such a lasting impression that she returned after completing her DVM, drawn back by the clinic’s mission and the Conway community.

She holds a B.S. in Biology from Kennesaw State University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University. Her professional interests include rehabilitative care and feline medicine, and she enjoys working closely with clients to help their pets live healthy, comfortable lives.

Dr. Custer is a member of both the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Arkansas Veterinary Medical Association.

At home, Ashley enjoys life with her husband, Cody, and their two cats, Roman and Cheddar. When she’s not at the clinic, she loves cooking, reading, and traveling — most recently exploring New Zealand.

Rachel

Rachel is the friendly face and steady hand behind the scenes at St. Francis Veterinary Clinic. She ensures everything runs smoothly with a genuine love for animals and a passion for helping people. With years of experience in veterinary administration, she is dedicated to making every client feel heard, supported, and cared for — from their first visit to their last.

When she’s not managing the clinic’s daily operations, Rachel enjoys spending time with her dog, Roscoe, exploring music festivals, and diving into creative projects. Her warmth, organization, and big heart make her an invaluable part of our team.

Veterinary Technicians & Assistants

Mary
Mary

Certified Veterinary Technician – In practice since 2023

Mary first joined St. Francis in the summer of 2023 while completing her Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology through ASU-Beebe. In August, she proudly passed the Veterinary Technician National Exam and officially earned her license as a Certified Veterinary Technician. She brings a thoughtful, steady presence to the clinic and is passionate about supporting both patients and their people through excellent care.

In addition to her clinical skills, Mary keeps team spirits high with creative staff activities and lighthearted games throughout the year. She’s been known to hide trinkets and surprise memes around the clinic, adding a touch of fun to even the busiest days.

Mary currently lives in Houston, Arkansas, with her family and a lively mix of pets — including two cats, two dogs, two guineas, and eight chickens. Outside of work, she enjoys all things crafty: from clay sculpting and sewing to crocheting. She also loves spending time outdoors, especially hiking and exploring trails with her family.

Chantelle
Chantelle

Veterinary Assistant – In practice since 2021

Chantelle is the team’s go-to expert for difficult blood draws and tricky “sticks” — thanks to her famously diligent hands, pets and vets alike trust her steady touch. She brings warmth and dedication to every task, making a positive difference in the care of every animal she works with.

When she’s not at the clinic, Chantelle enjoys traveling with her husband, especially exploring the beautiful landscapes of Wyoming and the Western states. At home, she’s the proud mom to five German Shepherds, all trained in Schutzhund and happily competing in dog shows and trials. She also has a special love for working with larger animals, particularly horses, combining her training skills with her heart for animals.

Emily

Emily is a Conway native who joined St. Francis with a genuine passion for animal advocacy and care. She holds an Associate of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She brings several years of experience working at a local doggy daycare, where she developed her kindness, skills, and enthusiasm for every pet she meets.

Around the clinic, Emily isn’t just known for her way with animals — she’s also our unofficial “paw-perty manager.” Whether she’s power washing, mowing, or repainting, she keeps things looking their best and running smoothly behind the scenes.

When she’s not hard at work, Emily enjoys fishing and spending quality time with her two fur babies, Mr. Milton and Mud Bug.

Brittney
Brittney

Brittney joined St. Francis after spending over three years at a local doggy daycare, where she developed a strong foundation in animal care and client communication. She brings a vibrant energy to our team and enjoys the fast-paced, hands-on nature of clinic life. At the clinic, she is rarely spotted without her trusty Stanley cup — her unofficial emotional support sidekick.

When she’s not at work, Brittney loves trying out new recipes, getting lost in a good book, and exploring the outdoors with her two adventurous German Shepherds, Callie and Eleven — especially if there’s a good hiking trail involved.

Savannah
Savannah

Veterinary Assistant – In practice since 2024

Savannah began her journey at St. Francis as a kennel assistant and quickly earned her place as a veterinary assistant through her hard work, compassion, and eagerness to learn. She brings a cheerful, upbeat energy to the clinic and is known for making both pets and people feel welcome the moment they walk through the door.

Originally from College Station, Texas, Savannah moved to Conway at age 16 and embraced the veterinary field as her passion. She’s especially excited to keep growing her skills and building relationships with clients and their pets.

At home, she’s a devoted cat mom to Eleanor and Sketty. Outside of work, Savannah enjoys shopping, spending time with her boyfriend, and relaxing with her feline sidekicks by her side.

Kennel Assistants

Hannah
Hannah

Kennel Assistant – In practice since 2024

Hannah is a Conway native and a student at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she’s majoring in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She plans to attend veterinary school after graduation and brings genuine passion and focus to her role at St. Francis as she gains hands-on experience in the field.

What makes Hannah a natural with animals is her excitement about learning and growing in veterinary medicine. She approaches every task with curiosity, drive, and a deep appreciation for the science behind quality patient care.

At home, she has two cats, Hope and TaeJin, who keep her company during study breaks. When she’s not working or studying, you’ll likely find her reading a good book or spending time with friends.

Brady
Brady

Kennel Assistant – In practice since 2025

Brady is a senior in high school who joined St. Francis with a love for animals and a strong work ethic — especially when it comes to giving pets the care and attention they deserve. He’s also a dedicated swimmer, competing on both his high school swim team and with the Conway Crocs.

At home, Brady shares his life with two dogs, Pupalinas and Stewie — but it’s his cat, Wilson, who holds the title of best friend. When he’s not working, swimming, or studying, Brady can often be found doing what he loves most: catching a well-earned nap.

Our Resident Clinic Pets

Phoebe
Phoebe

Clinic Cat – In practice since 2020

Phoebe is our resident queen and official greeter — on her own terms, of course. She’s been supervising the St. Francis team since 2020, offering selective affection and a healthy dose of sass.

Most days, you’ll find her lounging in a sunny window or keeping a watchful eye on the front desk. When she’s in the mood, she graciously accepts attention from staff and clients alike… but only if it fits her schedule.

Alfredo
Alfredo

Clinic Cat – In practice since 2022

Alfredo may be the youngest of our clinic cats, but he makes up for it with personality. Known for playfully pestering his older sister, he’s always in the middle of the action — and sometimes the reason for it.

Despite his mischievous streak, Alfredo is surprisingly well-behaved when it comes to nail trims and injections. He’s also a firm believer in positive reinforcement and would like everyone to know: he will gladly work for food.

While he might act bold around his sister and the staff, Alfredo is a little shy around new people. More often than not, you’ll find him tucked away in the back of the clinic, quietly supervising the team from a safe distance.

Chevy
Chevy

Clinic Snake – In practice since 2012

Chevy has been slithering her way into our hearts since 2012. Though she tends to stay tucked away during the day, she really comes to life once the lights go down — earning her reputation as our quiet little night shift supervisor.

She enjoys warm soaks in the sink, basking under her heat lamp, and keeping a low profile. Calm, graceful, and a little mysterious, Chevy adds a unique charm to the St. Francis family.
